The next step is to take the clients measurements, which are used to create a custom ‘last’ or wooden shoe form, specifically for the client.
Following the measuring process, a pair of fitting shoes is created by Mr. Waplinger for the client to try on to ensure proper fit and design proportions. Adjustments can be made at this time and once the proper fit and desired design is achieved, construction of the final pair of shoes is started.
During the process the client is able to select from a wide range of leathers, construction options, toe shapes, and many other design elements that make each shoe stand out as an individual masterpiece constructed to each clients specifications.
